沖縄Okinawa

Ok Ive been here 2 days now. This is a beautiful interesting place, it feels strangely like home. Maybe because its a cross between Florida and Japan. Japan has become my new home and Florda is my home so maybe thats why this place seems so comfortable. There are lots more things from the USA here than back in Chiba. There are so many Americans here, its just crazy. Im surrounded by family and haven't heard much Japanese since Ive got here. They have so many foods that I thought Id never see in Japan, but American food doesnt taste as I remember it... Im already starting to miss Japanese food, as crazy as that sounds. When I got to Japan I was missing American food.. I think my tastes have changed.. I feel as I did when I went to Florda last.. Kinda sick from eating the food.

Anyhow this is also an adventure because this is a hosuefull of chaos so to speak. 5 kids takes nothing short of a maricle to manage and everyone always wants something. Ive never seen anything like this in my life. I think I want no more than 2 kids or kids that know I mean business.

I went on a hike today and saw a beautiful mountain and waterfall. Lots of fun. Pictures later.

Ok so I made it home to Funabashi. Okinawa was quite an experience. I really think it's a nice place.
I want to go back when it is summer and go diving. I hear that it has some of the best diving in the world. That sounds hard to pass up. I think I'm going to go just before my trip to Florida or maybe after... Depends on the weather. It was really like being in a mix of the Florida Keys with Japan. The population must be at least 25% Americans or more.. Some places I didn't see any Japanese... It was very strange. I kept feeling out of place not hearing any Japanese in Japan. Most shop staff spoke English to me, even though I was speaking Japanese. I'm guessing that Hawaii is something like this, although I don't know since I've never been to Hawaii.

It was also cool because I got to drive all around the island. I miss driving. I really want a car, but right now it wouldn't be a good choice to buy one. At least I can drive now though!

Okinawa a beautiful place that I can't wait to visit again and if you get the chance I recommend that you go! Just be sure to have a drivers license a good map and a rental car if you go.
